The short version
This site sets no cookies, uses no trackers and loads nothing from third parties. That is why there is no cookie banner.
Hosting and server logs
The site runs on its own server at Hetzner Online GmbH in Germany. Each request creates server logs with a shortened IP address, time, requested page and status code. They keep the site secure and are deleted after 14 days. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
Storage in your browser
If you switch the display mode, your browser remembers that choice locally. If you pass the map to the form, your selection stays in the browser until you close the tab. Neither leaves your device on its own.
Contact form and email
I use your details to answer your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, for general enquiries Art. 6(1)(f). Messages reach me through Proton (Proton AG, Switzerland). Switzerland is covered by an adequacy decision of the European Commission. I delete enquiries once they are settled and no retention duty applies.
Your rights
You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability and objection. You can also complain to a supervisory authority. Mine is the Independent Centre for Privacy Protection Schleswig-Holstein (ULD).
